1. DEFINITIONS
- “Company” refers to GuardsLock Ltd
- “Client” refers to the individual, landlord, agent, or business engaging services
- “Services” refers to all locksmith, security, guarding, and related works
- “Engineer/Operative” refers to any employee or subcontractor acting on behalf of the Company
2. GENERAL
2.1 These Terms apply to all Services provided by GuardsLock Ltd.
2.2 By instructing the Company, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms.
2.3 These Terms override any conflicting terms unless agreed in writing.
3. SERVICES PROVIDED
The Company provides (but is not limited to):
- Emergency locksmith services (including non-destructive entry where possible)
- Lock repairs, replacements, and upgrades
- Smart locks and access control systems
- Manned guarding and mobile patrols
- Security system installation and maintenance
4. QUOTATIONS & PRICING
4.1 All quotes are estimates unless confirmed in writing.
4.2 Final pricing may vary depending on:
- Site conditions
- Parts required
- Time on site
4.3 Labour and parts are charged separately unless stated otherwise.
5. PAYMENT TERMS
5.1 Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
5.2 The Company reserves the right to:
- Request upfront payment
- Withhold completion until payment is received
5.3 Late payments may incur interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
6. LONDON CONGESTION & PARKING CHARGES
6.1 For jobs within Greater London, the Client agrees to cover:
- Congestion Charge (if applicable)
- ULEZ charges
- Parking fees, permits, or penalties incurred while attending the job
6.2 Where parking is not provided, time spent sourcing parking may be chargeable.
6.3 Any fines resulting from lack of suitable parking provision will be passed to the Client.
7. OUT-OF-HOURS SERVICES
7.1 Out-of-hours services are defined as:
- Weekdays: 6:00pm – 8:00am
- Weekends & Bank Holidays: All hours
7.2 Premium rates apply (see Appendix A).
8. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The Client must:
- Provide accurate job details
- Ensure legal authority to grant access
- Provide safe working conditions
- Disclose any risks (e.g. aggressive occupants, hazards)
9. LIABILITY
9.1 The Company will take reasonable care and skill in delivering services.
9.2 The Company is not liable for:
- Pre-existing faults
- Damage required to gain entry where unavoidable
- Indirect or consequential losses
9.3 Liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
10. CANCELLATION POLICY
10.1 Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice.
10.2 The Company reserves the right to charge:
- Call-out fee if engineer is dispatched
- Labour if work has commenced
11. WARRANTY
11.1 Labour warranty: 30 days
11.2 Parts warranty: Manufacturer dependent
11.3 Warranty void if:
- Work is tampered with
- Misuse or forced damage occurs
12. DATA PROTECTION
All personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
APPENDIX A – OUT-OF-HOURS RATE STRUCTURE

APPENDIX B – LANDLORD & LETTING AGENT SERVICE AGREEMENT
B1. SCOPE
GuardsLock Ltd provides:
- Emergency call-outs for tenants
- Lock changes between tenancies
- Security inspections
- Access control and system maintenance
B2. RESPONSE TIMES
- Emergency: 1–2 hours (subject to location)
- Non-emergency: Same or next working day
B3. BILLING
- Monthly invoicing available
- Itemised reports provided
- Agreed trade rates may apply
B4. AUTHORISATION
The Client (agent/landlord) must:
- Provide written or verbal authorisation
- Confirm spending limits where required
B5. TENANT INTERACTION
The Company acts on behalf of the Client but is not responsible for tenant disputes.
APPENDIX C – VOID PROPERTY SECURITY GUARANTEE (USP)
C1. OVERVIEW
GuardsLock Ltd offers a Void Property Security Guarantee for landlords and managing agents.
C2. WHAT’S INCLUDED
- Initial security inspection
- Lock upgrades to insurance-approved standards
- Ongoing maintenance checks (if under contract)
C3. GUARANTEE TERMS
If a property secured by GuardsLock is:
- Broken into due to lock/security failure installed by us
We will:
- Repair or replace affected locks free of charge
- Attend as a priority emergency call
C4. CONDITIONS
The guarantee is valid only if:
- No third-party interference has occurred
- Security recommendations were followed
- The property remains under active agreement/contract
C5. EXCLUSIONS
- Forced entry due to structural weaknesses
- Damage unrelated to installed security
- Negligence or lack of property oversight
14. FINAL PROVISIONS
14.1 GuardsLock Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.
